The Musée du Malgré-Tout and its educational team help teachers and pupils discover archaeology, from prehistory to antiquity.

Our mission: to offer adapted, accessible and stimulating tools to enrich learning in the classroom and on school outings.

An offer adapted to all school audiences

Our educational events are aimed at a wide range of audiences:

    • from kindergarten to secondary 6;
    • in general, technical technical, vocational and specialized education,
    • with a special focus on students with special needs.

All our activities are designed in line with the common core curriculum and developed around an active pedagogy: learning by doing, experimenting, discovering archaeological objects and meeting with our specialized instructors.

Educational resources at your disposal

The museum provides teachers with a series of illustrated educational documents free of charge:

    • at permanent and temporary exhibitions;
    • at activities, meetings and educational visits.

These resources, designed to accompany your lessons and prepare or extend a visit, can be accessed and downloaded further down this page.

Activities at the museum… or at school!

At the museum Come with your classes for an immersive cultural outing, combining guided tours, hands-on workshops and discovery of the collections.

At school our teaching team can also visit your school come directly to your school to lead to run certain activities.

Permanent exhibition on regional archaeology, from prehistory to antiquity, open all year round.

Temporary exhibition on mammoths open from November 30, 2025 to April 5, 2026. Printed version available on request.
