L’Authentik: Our new documentation center
The Musée du Malgré-Tout recently acquired theformer hotel-restaurant “L’Authentikto create a brand-new documentation center just 93 metres from the main building in Treignes!
This building will enable :
- Provide the team with more spacious and comfortable workspaces to continue enhancing our archaeological heritage.
- Transform the museum’s documentation center into a genuine reference centre, with a dedicated reading room where researchers, colleagues and enthusiasts can explore the treasures in ideal conditions.
- And finally, a refectory to accommodate schools and groups in the best possible conditions.
This project marks a new stage in the museum’s development. Stay tuned to follow the evolution of this new space, which will soon become a key research and conservation center. !
Access to collections for research
Free access to the Musée du Malgré-Tout’s collections and storerooms is granted to :
- BA and MA students, as part of their coursework and research work
- Aspirants, doctoral students and post-docs
- Belgian and foreign researchers
Access is by appointment only, and only after you have completed the Access and Collection Study Agreement. The request must be made by e-mail at least 15 days before the researcher’s visit to Dorian Vanhulle, Director and Curator.
