Feature of the month: Woolly mammoth teeth unearthed in the Grotte Saint-Joseph in Nismes
The bone assemblage includes a rich and diverse Upper Pleistocene fauna: cave hyena, wolf, common fox and polar bears, brown bears and, more rarely, cave bears, woolly mammoth, woolly rhinoceros, horse, steppe bisondeer (reindeer, red deer, giant stag), chamoisas well as a few birds.
